Although this list has "done" yogurt cheese perhaps there
are enough new folks to send this through again.
My favorite yogurt cheese is a quart of non-fat vanilla,
with a teaspoon of fresh grated ginger, and a tablespoon of
orange zest mixed in with it. After it sits in your fridge
(fill a colander with paper towells and put the yogurt in
that, setting it over a bowl to catch the liquid that comes
out)overnight, you will have a fragrant and spreadable
cheese that is wonderful on whole wheat toast or crackers.
Also use mixed herbs with plain nonfat yogurt for a dipper
or a spread. Very good!
Don't forget to use the whey as your bread liquid, in soup
stock or pour over your pets
food. Its highly nutritious stuff and should not be
