Chilled Berry soup

from Tips World's Vegetarian Recipes:

1 pint blueberries 
1 pint strawberries, hulled and coarsely chopped 
1 cup raspberries 
2 medium peaches, chopped 
4 cups raspberry or cranberry juice 
1/3 cup dry red wine 
Juice of half a lemon 
1 teaspoon cinnamon 
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice 
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 
Brown sugar to taste 
Sliced strawberries 

In a large soup pot, combine all of the ingredients (except the brown 
sugar and sliced strawberries). 

Bring the mixture to a low boil, lower heat, and allow to simmer for 
10 to 15 minutes. 

Check to see that the fruit is tender and taste the mixture to see if 
you'd like it a bit sweeter (add brown sugar to your taste). 

Remove the soup from the heat and allow to cool. Place it in the 
refrigerator and allow it to chill. Garnish each serving with some 
sliced strawberries.
