Shortcuts: bulgar; sweet potatoes

Bulgar (cracked wheat that has been boiled and dried) rehydrates perfectly
to my taste without draining when I use this proportion:

1 c. dry bulgar
1 1/2 c, boiling water
Combine bulgar and water, cover, and let it sit about 20 minutes.

Piercing sweet potatoes with a sharp knife is much easier than using a fork.
