Tofu mayonnaise

Jan Gordon was explaining how to make soy mayonnaise. I tried this
last night, but it had a somewhat `chalky' aftertaste. Is this due to
the type of tofu I used (plain Sainsbury's own-brand - it's a firm
block, not too soft)? Or is there a way to rid of this taste? I don't
know where I can get silken tofu.
