Dear Anni,

I accidentally did that test once...I'd sprinkled baking powder on top of
the water that I was supposed to add to my FF brownie mix, and boy did it
bubble ENTHUSIASTICALLY, I got quite amused coz it looked at proofed
yeast... and my brownies did rise higher and nicer too... so I guess maybe
yours was "faulty"...
