I should add that Veggie-Glace Gold has much to recommend it over
other broths and bouillons. The ingredients are msg and preservative
free and they don't add fat in even small amounts. Better than
Bouillon has hydrolyzed soy protein (which is usually mostly MSG) as
well as small amounts of oil and gums. The ingredients in
Veggie-Glace Gold are:
Burgandy wine, onion stock, modified food starch, celery stock,
natural flavors (though their literature assures that this is a
vegetarian product), carrot stock, tomato paste, lemon juice, mushroom
stock, salt, garlic power and herbs.
It is expensive ($22 for 16 oz) but not all that much on a per-use
basis. It is 2 to 3 times as expensive as Better than Bouillon.
