chipotles and ayurveda

I hadn't actually looked very hard, but had heretofore only found
chipotles canned in adobo sauce. Yesterday, however, at the Pecan Store
outside Sahuarita (a little town south of Tucson), I picked up a jar of
"Crushed Chipotle Chile Pepper."  The brand is "The Spice Hunter, Inc.";
they're in San Luis Obispo, CA 93401 (no further address given),
telephone 1-800-444-3061. They smell heavenly, hot and smoky--hmmm, I
guess one usually associates hot and smoky with another afterlife
location--oh well.

We went "off the wagon" a bit for a couple of weeks, and are both feeling
stiff and sluggish. And I used to think feeling this way was normal!

Anyway, based on what I read last night in Deepak Chopra's _Boundless
Energy_, we're consuming only liquids today (had a fruit --no yogurt--
smoothie for breakfast with some nutritional yeast added, and will have
some light carrot soup for dinner--I don't know what else except herb tea
and water, but I suppose that will be fine). I haven't taken the "find
your dosha" quiz in the book yet, but based on his description I feel
pretty "kapha," including needing to lose about 20 pounds. Does anyone have
experience with his ayurvedic approach to diet, words of advice they might
share? If it's off-topic, please reply privately.

Thanks,

Vicki
