Actually, I've used both spearmint and peppermint in the tabouli recipe and
had it come out fine. You can even leave it out if you can't find any. It
helps the recipe, but it's not essential. Tabouli is very versatile. I
recently saw a recipe that includes chick peas, so that it can be used as a
main dish. I may try that soon.
