Use "low sodium" or "no added salt" everything! Labels on canned goods
should ALWAYS be carefully scrutinized before buying. Recipes and
ingredients change. Most canned soups, beans, etc., are high sodium
items. Make your own! Tomato products contain natural sodium but most
come in "no salt added" varieties.
Garlic is an excellent salt substitute!
The recipes were meant as a starting point. Alter the ingredients to your
own taste. I use a lot of onion, garlic, oregano, basil. It seems that
many people on this list use hot pepper, jalapeno, cayenne, Tabasco, etc.
It's easy and nothing else is needed.
