Chopped liver

I have been searching for a good recipe for vegetarian chopped liver. I tried 
making one with string beans, egg whites and mushrooms, and onions. It's good, 
but still doesn't taste like the 'real thing.'  It's a little too watery.  Any 
suggestions would help.
