Whoops!  You may want to go back and read your McDougall books.  It is
virtually impossible to have a protein deficiency.  As long as you eat an
adequate diet and are eating enough calories, you will get plenty of
protein.  In fact, Dr. McDougall illustrated this point by saying you could
eat nothing but potatoes and still consume plenty of protein.  In fact,
protein deficiency is not a problem; protein *excess* is.
