I have not tried chestnut puree, but I have used bean puree.  I replaced the
1 cup of butter (or oil) in my chocolate chip cookie recipe with bean puree
successfully.  Use navy or any white bean - 1 16-oz. can pureed in a blender
replaces 1 cup of butter.  These make soft chocolate chip cookies, which my
family prefers!  Much better for you, too.
