Feeding Babies

Sorry to show my Mommy feelings but...

CHECK WITH A PROFESSIONAL BEFORE YOU PUT A CHILD ON A RESTRICTED DIET!

Putting a small child on a lowfat diet goes counter to everything the
professionals I consult have told me. Yes, they are veg-friendly and
understand that I must eat nonfat for health reasons. Talk to someone
who knows, please! I won't go on because it is contrary to this list
where medical discussions are verbotten.

Now my own experience...

My little guy (19 monthes) loves finger food. Healthy muffins, breaded
tofu nuggets, vegetables in chunks, fruit in chunks, healthy dried
cereal, whole wheat bread, whole wheat noodles, etc. etc. I give him
tiny portions of a few healthy things each meal, then refill on what he
eats and take away what he doesn't. I never push. He's a great eater
and is healthy and strong. His height and weight have always been 95th
percentile. If he refuses to eat, he doesn't eat. He gets 3 meals and
a snack after his afternoon nap.

Good luck!
