Much of the meat that is eaten in this country (others too prabably) comes
from cattle that is raised/grazed in previously forested areas. A great
deal of rainforest area is clearcut for the purpose of sustaining huge
populations of "man-made" beef producing cattle. The rate of land-loss is
frightening - yet another reason to be vegetarian - yikes.
