This is just a gentle reminder that nutrition discussion is off topic
here. That includes discussion of how much dietary protein is required
by the human body, and the effects of carbs on the body. This list is
for discussion of very low fat vegetarian food and cooking only. We
haven't strayed yet, so consider this just a periodic reminder.
Also, I do also want to say that it will generally be the case that
one cannot follow both a very low fat vegetarian diet (less than 15%
calories from fat) and a very low to no carb diet, as this would
result in a diet that is nearly all protein, and such foods are rarely
vegetarian. Someone following a low carb diet will probably want to
join a low carb list in addition to (or instead of) this one.
Requests for higher protein or low glycemic dishes are welcome, but
not any accompanying nutritional discussion or justification.
