My grandfather adored sweet potatoes when he was alive. I used to make some
for him everyday, and we would sit together & munch. I cooked them in a
different way though. I would place my scrubbed clean sweet potatoes in a
double boiler or in a wooden basket on a stand in a pot of boiling water,
and steam. They were ready in 15 - 20 minutes. Try it! They are moister and
softer than baked ones.

They are indeed very sweet, and for me, they are part of the sweetest
memories I have of my grandpa.
