keeping food from sticking

This is to Barbara who states: "I have a
griddle which sits on top of my gas burners and it works terribly (and cost
a lot).  I use way more oil than I want to and it still doesn't work!"

If you use a skillet, whether non-stick or regular, make sure that you heat
the pan before you add the o*l or non-stick spray.  This will keep the
lubrication on top of the surface of the pan, thus keeping things from
sticking better.
