Usually they're nothing more than flour and water...THEN the makers usually
fry them in any of a number of oils, tropicals included.

But they don't HAVE to be fried to be good.

Fantastic's "No Chicken" Raman is wonderful.  The flavor is marvelous.  It
costs about 3X what  you'd pay for the fatty stuff, but to me, at least,
it's worth every cent.
