Sue is the lucky owner of a steamer.  Sue, we cook ALL our veggies in
a steamer.  They retain their colour and texture much better than
conventional boiling and, I'm told, have much more of their nutrient
content intact.  We simply peel,  wash and slice whatever veg we need
and put them in to steam.  

This is just one way of fixing a meal:  You will need some
pasta/polenta/rice (whatever you like), top this with a selection of lightly
steamed veggies and then top the veggies with a mushroom or tomato
sauce or just grate some lf cheese over the veggies.  This is a favourite
in our household.
