Re: French Toast Recipe.

It is easy to make baked French Toast. Here is my basic recipe...

1 loaf of thick bread -- whatever kind fits your needs, ff, no wheat, etc.
Slice bread rather thickly -- about 1 1/2 inches thick
Maple syrup
Dipping batter

Prepare dipping batter:
2 cartons of egg substitute like egg beaters or 6 egg whites
1/4 cup of skim milk
1/4 cup of orange juice
dash of cinnamon

Mix well in a bowl and put aside for a moment. In the baking pan, place
about 1/2 cup of syrup in the bottom of pan evenly spread. Dip bread in
batter on both sides. Place in pan. Drizzle remaining dipping batter on top
of bread if any is leftover. Now, I usually cover with foil and refrigerate
overnight. Then the next morning, I remove the foil and bake at 350 degrees
for about 20 minutes. It comes out very sweet and delicious. Top with
powdered sugar and cinnamon.
