This recipe is for a commercial product that was made a sold about 15 years
ago in Milwaukee when I worked for aplace called Outpost.
Pepper Pot Stew
2 Tbs veggie broth
1 large green pepper cut in strips
1/2 cup celery, chopped
4 ounces mushrooms, sliced
one 16 oz can tomato sauce + a half can of water
2 tsp dried basil or 1-1/2 heaping Tbs fresh chopped basil
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
5 ounces chunk TVP, soaked in hot veggie broth
Saute veggies & garlic in vegt broth until tender. Add chunks, tomatoes, and
basil and simmer 15 to 20 minutes until everything is tender.
Serve over rice, noodles, or potatoes.
