simple tomato soup
1 15oz. can of diced tomatoes (with juices)
1 small onion , chopped
2 pieces of celery, chopped
1/8 tsp. mustard
1/8 tsp. cayanne pepper
3 clove garlic, mashed
1/4 cup barley
i just put everything in a saucepan and let it cook for about an hour and
a half, you could let it simmer or whatever for however long you want,
and of course try different veggies. i made it pretty basic because of
the tummy ache, although i still had to add some spices! you could make
it with more barley too, which would maybe make it more of a hearty meal.
im very new at cooking for myself, so im always experimenting...so i like
the idea of doing some quick recipe ideas!
i also steam frozen veggies a lot and just eat them with spices or salsa
or with some leftover rice, etc. very quick!
