pumpkin-soup-2 recipe

 e-z pumpkin soup :)
 "sautee" a chopped onion and 2 teaspoons crshed garlic (or to
 taste) in 1/2c white wine.  add 1 tsp. paprika, 1 tsp. powdered
 ginger (or a little less of grated fresh, I'd think), 1/2 tsp
 coarsely ground allspice, 1 tsp jalapeno powder (or cayenn, to
 taste), and salt to taste.  cook and stir until starting to
 stick.  add one can of pumpkin (the 1-pie size). stir to blend
 ingredients.  add 4-5 cups vegetable broth, and stir well. when
 mixture is fully simmering, add about a cup of frozen peas (I
 think chopped greens would be a good alternative or addition to
 the peas). cover and simmer about 10 minutes.  add nutritional
 yeast to taste (I used about 1/4 cup, but I like it a lot). cook
 about 5 minutes more.  if you want thick soup (I did), add about
 1/2-3/4c. instant mashed potatoes (ingredient:potatoes) and stir
 well.  serve on brown rice.
