       Title: Carrot Cake

       Yield: 10 servings
       1 t  Ground cinnamon
       1 t  Ground allspice
     1/2 t  Freshly grated nutmeg
     1/4 t  Ground cloves
   1 1/2 c  Whole wheat pastry flour
     1/3 c  Wheat bran
   1 1/2 t  Baking powder
       1 t  Baking soda
       1 c  Grated carrots
       1 c  Raisins or other dried
     3/4 c  Honey
   1 1/2 c  Water
   Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.  Combine all the
   dry ingredients and mix well. In a separate bowl
   combine the liquid ingredients. Fold the dry
   ingredients into the wet ones and mix well.  Do not
   overbeat or mix. Pour into a non-stick 9x5x3 inch loaf
   pan.  Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until a
   toothpick comes out clean.
   This recipe appeared in Dr. Dean Ornish's Program for
   Reversing Heart Disease.
