Strawberry-Raisin Scone Bake
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 T sugar
1 T baking powder
1/4 t salt
1/2 cup apple sauce [ used as a substitute for butter ]
1/2 cup milk
4 egg whites
3/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup strawberry fruit spread
Heat oven to 425F. Pam an 8x8 baking dish.
Mix the dry stuff. Mix in the wet stuff.
Place half the mixture in the pan and spread to cover bottom. Spread on
the fruit spread. Top with remaining dough.
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until it passes the toothpick test.
