fast grains in a thermos - possible office lunch

I've been getting tired of making grains and eating the same ones for the
next week.
reminded me of making them in a thermos.

So far, I have used barley and it turned out just fine.

1. Preheat thermos with boiling water.
2. Add 1/4 c. of dry barley
3. Add some broth powder (1/8 tsp.)
4. Add 3/4 c. boiling water

Shake vigorously. I shook it a couple of times just for good measure over
the next 4 hours.
I used an Aladdin wide mouth thermos that I've had for a few years. It looks
the same as the one at www.getgealthyshop.com , except that mine doesn't have
the cute advertisement sticker on the side.
