Sourdough toast with maple syrup

I mentioned something along these lines once before a while back, but 
now that I just had some more I thought I'd mention it again:  If you
toast some good-quality sourdough bread or roll and then pour some 
hot maple syrup over it, it's really good, it's even kind of like it
was some kind of maple baklava in terms of being very sweet and 
crunchy.
