Malt vinegar potatoes

 I really liked the taste of malt vinegar and fries at Long John Silvers, pre 
diet, and pre veggie..Its actually pretty simple.   5 or 6 medium new 
potatoes, 1 sweet onion with chives reserved , garlic,balsamic or malt 
vinegar.  Boil potatoes well. chop onions and combine with garlic in a teflon 
pan...let saute for 10 minutes..add enough vinegar to cover the pottom of 
your pan. slice or chunk  potatoes and add to pan...toss until well coated, 
cover and cook on low heat for about 15 niutes stirring occassionally. add 
the chives during last 5 minutes of cooking..
