Green Beans a la Reddy
by G. N. Reddy
* 1 lb Green Beans (French Cut, if you like)
* Mustard seeds
* Dry red chilies -one
* Diced ginger
* Diced garlic
* Provencal herbs (seasoning)
* Salt to taste
Steam cook the green beans. Dry fry in a small bit of veggie stock the
mustard seeds along with the dry chili in a skillet. Add the green beans,
diced ginger and garlic. Mix it well in the skillet with salt to taste and
add the provencal herbs just before turning off the heat. Let it simmer in
its own heat for a while, before serving.
Voila! You have the best of both french and Indian cooking. The kids would
love it and so would your finicky foreign guests!
