Bette's Lentil Stew

Another yummy--we had Bette Kindman-Koffler's Lentil Stew (posted on
November 3, 1999 in v. 99 #303) the other evening and it was Very Tasty.  I
made it pretty much exactly as posted, except that I reduced the cinnamon to
1/3 of a stick because I'm not a fan of heavy cinnamon flavor.  I loved it
and can't wait to eat some of my leftovers for dinner tonight.  I also had
leftovers for breakfast the next day after the original serving.  Mmmmm.
