Dean Ornish's information about quinoa "Although not technically a
grain, it looks and cooks like one.  It is a valued protein source in
the mountainous Andes, because it will grow where other grains won't. 
Quinoa should be rinsed before cooking to remove a bitter residue that
sometimes clings to the seeds."
I find it where I find bulgur wheat, and rice in my grocery store.
