Regarding french fries at fast food chains: I'm not certain on the claim
that they are dipped in lard before reaching the restaurants, but I am
certain that McDonald's cooks their fries in lard--this coming from a
friend who worked at McDonald's. Many of the cashiers at McDonald's are
unaware that their fries are cooked in lard and may tell you they are
cooked in vegetable oil.
Also, Burger King buns are made with lard.
