If the Blueberry thread is still alive,
I've been a Blueberry nut since childhood. My Mother would take us to a bog
beside some railroad tracks to pick wild blueberries. My brothers and I
would sneak away to jump the tracks and crawl into the well guarded farmers
field and pick the GIANT berries. If we didn't get our backsides kicked or
full of buckshot we'd return with full buckets and purple faces.
For all I know this may be a well known treat but if it's new to you give
it a try, it's great for a treat on warm summer evenings.
Approx. 1 cup frozen [ giant :) ] Blueberries
Approx. 1 cup ice cold skim milk
1 tbs ff granola or whatever for a crunch
Best made with a bowl from the freezer, pour milk over frozen berries till
covered, sprinkle with granola. If you feel like a sweeter treat sprinkle a
half tsp of sugar\honey\sugar substitute. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and it
will "set" . Then dig in, it's delicious and cooooold!
