Hi Tiffany, I got a bread machine for my birthday too. I've successfully made ff bread just by leaving the oil out, I've read that it doesn't keep fresh quite as long, but that hasn't been a problem.
If you have web access, www.breadworld.com has lots of tips and recipes.
www.reggie.com/ftp/archives/bread contains a huge archive of recipes, mostly with bread machine instructions.
There is also a bread bakers list to subscribe send a message to

with the word "subscribe" in the body of the message
