mushy grilled eggplant.

Dear Judy,
I don't know what you must have read, but if you were to roast/broil a
WHOLE eggplant and then put it into the paper bag, it would help you to
remove the charred blisters on the skin. You would then chop the whole
thing for use in a dip etc. If you slice and then grill there is no need
to put into the paper bag.
