Darned if I can remember what the plant is called, but there is
something that they sell, a plant you can put in your yard, that keeps
gophers and moles away. A friend of mine had them really badly in her
year in Illinois, and she got great results from the plants. Apparently
their roots have an attractive smell but a horrible taste for moles and
gophers, and they find it so repulsive that they leave. Anyone remember
what this plant is called?
